I am currently a Lutheran seminarian, studying in Austin, Texas. I completed my intership at a parish in Killeen, Texas, in August 2009.
I have enjoyed writing since I began journaling when I was in middle school. Like many others, writing is a tool for me to process the world around me and the world “of” me. I’ve experienced a lot in my life – lots of love, some major losses – and hopefully that comes through in my writing.
I titled this blog “Onward!” because I strongly believe that life is a journey. It is not always easy, but we choose, with God’s abundant help, to keep pressing onward. Sometimes our movement takes every ounce of strength just to put one foot in front of the other. Sometimes we fly. Always, we are loved and upheld by our loving God.
